Incorporating Inchies

This week I thought we would play with all those inchies that are starting to pile up in your save drawer!

Incorporate an inchie (yours or on that was given to you) into a larger piece of work.

This challenge is going to be a tad different...if you decide to make an inchie, you do not have to count that part of your hour!
If you can post a photo of your inchie before you incorporate it so we can all see how different it looks.
And as always...Have fun!

Challenge #22 Recycled

Recycled

This week Carol the lovely lady behind WeLcOmE 2 mY wOrLd has selected the theme recycled, which is basically to just use anything you would normally throw away either as a main object or just an element in your piece.

She has created as the sample a, Sardine Tin Shrine

"This started life as a Sardine tin which I hate (yuck) so I had to get this off my Mum. I painted the whole tin with acrylic paint did not like that LOL so then I covered the inside with decopatch. All the watch pieces and hands are old reclaimed items as I do love to use old things when I can. The wings and star crown are cut from metal and then alcohol inked and stuck on with hot glue with a little gem to finish it off. The image is from a cemetery Angles sheet from Collage stuff and the wrought iron image stamped on the acetate is Paper Artsy. "

With taking off the time allowed for drying I was actually surprised how quick this was to make and I came in well under the hour.

Remember...I don't count drying time in the one hour...or nothing I do would ever get done :)

Have a Blast with this one...I know I'm going to...can't wait to see what you all create!

Challenge #21 Bookmarks Sampler

Bookmarks

Over the Holiday's I love to sit and read a good book. It makes it even more enjoyable when i have a pretty bookmark to go with it. So, This week let's make some bookmarks.

The Bookmark that I have to the right here is my interpretation of a book called "The Seventh Scroll" a fantastic action adventure by Wilbur Smith. He combined history and a modern setting together wonderfully and I really really enjoyed the book.

The bookmark you make can just be because or it can represent a book you have read and loved. If you do make one for a certain book please tell us what book and why you enjoyed it so much...after all I am on the hunt for a fabulous read for the upcoming holiday's.

But most importantly Have Fun! I'm looking forward to your bookmarks!

Christmas Ornaments

This week the marvelous Joanne is our Guest Designer and she has selected the theme of...Christmas Decorations

This week there is a present for one fabulous participant provided by Inka stamps (thank you so much for sponsoring us!) The Cherub Collage stamp will be sent to one random participant...I'll announce the lucky winner next Wednesday.

Here is a bit more about our Guest Designer...

My name is Joanne Wardle, and I have been cardmaking for about 5 years. My main love now is stamping, but it took me a while to get into it. I love to try stamping onto different surfaces. I am also a complete challenge addict, so I'm really pleased to have chosen this theme, of Christmas decorations, for One Powerful Hour.

On this piece I have stamped a collage stamp image onto acetate, and cut it into a heart. I have then stamped the image again onto card and just cut out the cherubs and coloured them in.
The stamp is made by Inka Stamps www.inkastamps.com/ . When I told Inka from Inka Stamps that I had used her stamp as a guest designer piece, she generously offered the stamp I used as blog candy, for one lucky participant to win.

As Always Have fun and I can't wait to see what everyone makes!
